Amigurumi Thranduil WIP.10: skirt

I can't believe this is taking so long O_o I made a first attempt at the skirt part of Thranduil's dark grey battle outfit, but it was really unsuccessful (it looked like a woman's tightly adjusted miniskirt )
So I'm making a new attempt, still knitting, with increases this time (quite hard while making ribs O_o ) so that the skirt becomes wider as it goes down. 
I'm sticking to knitting, rather than crochetting here, because I really like the effect of the ribs: the feeling is so close to those "stripes" in Thranduil's gowns...

At least I wanted to post something, even if it's not finished yet...
Hopefully my sweet crochetted Thranduil is quite encouraging <3 <3
